Prashant Kishor To 'Advise' TVK Chief Vijay? Meeting Between Duo Ahead Of 2026 TN Polls Creates Buzz
The meeting between Prashant Kishor and Vijay was reportedly facilitated by Aadhav Arjuna, the newly appointed TVK General Secretary for Election Campaign Management.

In a development that has set political circles abuzz, renowned election strategist Prashant Kishor met with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) founder and actor-politician Vijay on Monday. The meeting, held at Vijay’s residence in Panaiyur on the East Coast Road (ECR) near Chennai, lasted over an hour and fueled speculation about Kishor’s potential role in shaping TVK’s strategy for 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
While it remains unclear whether Kishor will join the TVK as its chief strategist, reports suggest that he is likely to serve as an "advisor" to Vijay as the actor-politician prepares for his electoral debut. The 2026 polls are seen as a crucial test for Vijay, who aims to secure a strong mandate for his nascent party.
The meeting was reportedly facilitated by Aadhav Arjuna, the newly appointed TVK General Secretary for Election Campaign Management, as per a report on Deccan Herald. Arjuna, who recently joined the TVK after quitting the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), played a key role in arranging the discussions between Vijay and Kishor. The talks are believed to have focused on critical strategic decisions, including whether the TVK should contest the elections independently or forge alliances with established parties like the AIADMK.
Prashant Kishor, who currently heads the Jan Suraaj Party in Bihar, is unlikely to take on a full-time role with the TVK. However, his expertise as a political strategist could prove valuable for Vijay, who is navigating the complex landscape of Tamil Nadu politics. Kishor’s track record includes crafting successful campaigns for several major political parties, including the DMK, which secured a landslide victory in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections under his guidance, reported News9.
Neither Vijay nor Prashant Kishor has issued an official statement regarding the meeting or their potential collaboration, reported The New Indian Express. However, the development has already sparked intense speculation about the TVK’s strategy and its potential impact on Tamil Nadu’s political dynamics.
Meanwhile, Vijay’s entry into politics follows a long tradition of Tamil film stars transitioning to the political arena, with icons like MG Ramachandran, J. Jayalalithaa, Sivaji Ganesan, Vijayakanth, and Kamal Haasan paving the way.
