Stock Market Today: Indices Extend Losses For 6th Consecutive Session As Auto Stocks Decline
Stock Market Today: Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have withdrawn Rs 17,129.5 crore from Indian equities in February so far

Stock Market Today: The Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty ended slightly lower on Wednesday, despite a dramatic rebound that helped recover most of the morning losses. The indices have been under pressure for six consecutive sessions due to factors like Donald Trump’s latest tariff announcement, a weakening rupee, weak Q3 earnings, and persistent FII outflows.
At the close, the Sensex was down 44 points at 76,249, while the Nifty declined 12 points to 23,059. On the NSE, 1,034 shares advanced, while 1,556 declined. The Sensex recovered nearly 800 points from its day’s low, and the Nifty rebounded by over 200 points from the low seen on January 27.
Broader Market
The broader market lagged behind, with the BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap indices both dropping 0.5 per cent. Earlier in the day, the broader market entered bear market territory, falling 20 per cent from its all-time highs. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have withdrawn Rs 17,129.5 crore from Indian equities in February so far.

On the flip side, M&M, Eicher Motors, Power Grid, BEL, and IndusInd Bank were the biggest losers, falling 1-3 per cent.
