Contract Between BPCL And Petrobras
A term contract was signed between Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) and Brazil's Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) for the supply of Brazilian crude oil grades to BPCL during the event. This agreement represents a major advancement in enhancing energy security and diversifying crude sourcing strategies for Indian energy companies.
The contract, initially set for one year with an option for a one-year extension, guarantees a reliable supply of Brazilian crude to BPCL’s refineries. It further solidifies the longstanding partnership between the two companies and strengthens energy cooperation between India and Brazil.
TotalEnergies And GSPC Join Hands
TotalEnergies and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited (GSPC), a state-owned oil and gas company, announced the signing of a ten-year Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA), set to begin in 2026 during India Energy Week. As part of the agreement, TotalEnergies will supply GSPC with 400,000 tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG), equivalent to six cargoes per year.
The LNG, sourced from TotalEnergies' global portfolio and delivered to terminals on India's west coast, will primarily cater to GSPC’s industrial clients. It will also be used to supply Indian households, businesses, and service stations for vehicles running on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), such as auto-rickshaws, companies said in an official statement.
