SPJIMR's PGPDM Programme: Admission Process Begins, Check Eligibility Criteria And More

This programme stands out as a unique and comprehensive course designed for professionals working in or aspiring to work for the social sector.

Mumbai: SPJIMR's Post Graduate Programme in Development Management (PGPDM) stands out as a unique and comprehensive course designed for professionals working in or aspiring to work for the social sector. With the growing emphasis on sustainable development and the achievement of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, the PGPDM programme plays a vital role in nurturing leaders in the sustainability, NGO and CSR segments. The 2024-25 academic batch is scheduled to commence in February 2024.

Aspirants can now explore the registration link to enroll in the Post Graduate Programme in Development Management (PGPDM). The registration for admission has begun on the SPJIMR PGPDM admission portal.

The application process, participants interviews, and admission offers will be done on a rolling basis.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate applying for the PGPDM:

  • Should be a graduate (in any discipline) from a recognized university.
  • Should have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
  • Should have basic proficiency in computers and comfortable with English as it is a medium of instruction.

SPJIMR’s PGPDM is a 12-month modular Programme thoughtfully designed to cater to professionals already engaged in or intending to work for the social sector. This includes individuals associated with NGOs, foundations, CSR functions of corporate for-profit organizations, social policy or welfare departments of governments, and social enterprises specializing in development management.

Prof. Tanojkumar Meshram, Programme Chairperson, SPJIMR, stated, "The development sector is emerging as a critical area for social policies and programs implementation, as well as the allocation of international and CSR funds. For efficient utilization of these funds and for better impact of social interventions, it is crucial that leaders and managers in the development sector are well-trained. The PGPDM programme is a pathway to leadership in sustainable development. It equips professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to drive positive change in the development sector.”

Since its inception in 2011, the PGPDM has evolved significantly to meet the changing needs of the development sector. In light of the recent impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on society, the program has been redesigned with a stronger emphasis on wise innovation and change management for sustainable development.
