To support Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Sharda University is encouraging students with Research & entrepreneurial mind-set to share their StartUp idea by offering 100% Scholarship and seed money. Sharda Launchpad offers dedicated working space, industry mentorship and investment support for students with outstanding StartUp idea. Till date 40+ StartUps have been funded by Sharda Launchpad and Rs.6 crore funds raised by StartUps.

Sharda alumni are running StartUps with turnover of Rs 200 crores. Professor Diwakar Vaish, a Sharda alumni has launched his bio-engineering company which is producing world’s smallest ventilator. Another star Sharda alumni, Guru Singh is the CEO & Founder of SciSpot which is among the leading life science informatics companies based in Canada.

SUPPORTING STUDENTS FOR INNOVATION

Sharda University has recently awarded a grant of Rs.13.65 lakhs to the 11 teams of students under the 2nd cycle of Student Innovation Seed Fund 2022-23. The University is committed to fostering innovative and entrepreneurial ideas among the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. More than 100 students from various disciplines of education had an opportunity to express their innovative ideas and present them to the panel of experts.

After seeing various incidents of sudden fire in electric cars & bikes, engineering students at Sharda University have developed a heat alert device for the vehicle's battery. Two students studying in their fourth year of B.Tech, Sudhanshu Sharma and Pranjal Kumar have developed a smart battery management system integrated with the CAN Bus interface in which the driver will get an alert before fire starts. The device was presented at the Ideation Hackathon 2022, organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. The project received the highest grant of 15 Lakh in the MSME innovative scheme which was announced by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on the occasion of International MSME Day at Vigyan Bhawan on 30th June 2022. 

Some of the student innovations include Humanoid Robot, Electrical Vehicle for disabled and elderly people, Electric Sports bike (VISION), Electric hubless bike (VAAAN), Hybrid Electric + Solar Vehicle, Mountain Climber Bike and Smart Air Purifying Droid (S.A.P.D).
