NEET UG 2024 Registrations Likely To Begin Soon On neet.nta.nic.in

As per the UGC’s announcement last year, the NEET UG 2024 Exam is scheduled to be held from May 15 to May 31, 2024.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to start the registration cum application process of the NEET UG 2024 Exam. While the NTA is yet to make an official announcement on the commencement of the NEET UG application process, speculations are rife as in media reports that the registration process for the nationwide undergraduate medical entrance exam could begin soon. Once the application process for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) begins, interested candidates will be able to apply for the exam on the official website - neet.nta.nic.in. 

Notably, earlier last year, the NTA announced that the NEET UG 2024 Exam will be held from May 15 to 31, and the CUET-PG 2024 Exam will be held from March 11 to March 28, 2024. Considering the exam is less than three months away from being conducted, as per the official announcement, the NTA could start the NEET UG 2024 application process anytime on its official website. 

In order to apply and appear for the NEET UG 2024 Exam, candidates should either have completed or be enrolled in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects from a recognised board. Additionally, candidates must be a minimum of 17 years old by December 31, 2024.

Ideally held in the offline pen and paper mode, the NEET UG Exam consists of a total 200 objective-type questions. The exam has a maximum time limit of 3 hours and 20 minutes, and is conducted in 13 different languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. 

Conducted by the NTA at the national level, the NEET UG Exam is aimed at shortlisting suitable candidates for admissions into MBBS, BDS, Ayush, Nursing, and other medical courses in several medical institutions across the country. Premier medical colleges like AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC, etc., also accept NEET scores for admissions into their various UG and PG degree programmes. Candidates interested in UG and PG Medical Admissions are advised to keep visiting the official NTA NEET website - neet.nta.nic.in.
