NEET UG 2024 Registration Deadline Extended, Apply By March 16 On exams.nta.ac.in

As per the official schedule, the NEET UG 2024 Exam will be held on May 5, 2024.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) UG 2024, till March 16. Interested and eligible candidates who are aspiring to appear for the prestigious medical entrance exam but are yet to register for the same are advised to submit their NEET UG 2024 Applications at the earliest on the official website - exams.nta.ac.in, before the extended deadline ends. As per the previous schedule though, the NEET UG 2024 registration process was scheduled to conclude on March 9, 2024. However, upon requests from NEET aspirants from across the country, the NTA has extended the registration deadline. 

The NTA notified the extension of the NEET UG 2024 Registration deadline through an official notice on its website. “Registration for the online Application Forms of NEET (UG) – 2024 has been ongoing since 09 February 2024. During this time we have received representations from stakeholders regarding the changes in NEET (UG) – 2024 and the extension of the registration window,” the NTA said while announcing the extension of the deadline. 

“Candidates should note that this is a one-time opportunity, so they are advised to use it carefully as no further chance will be given for applying for NEET (UG) - 2024. Please make a note of this and fill the online Application Form accordingly. If any candidate still faces any difficulty in the process, they may contact 011-40759000 or write an email at neet@nta.ac.in,” the NT further stated. 

As per the official brochure, the NEET UG 2024 Exam will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024. As per the announcement, the NEET UG 2024 Result will be released on June 14, 2024. The NEET UG 2024 exam will be held in the offline pen and paper mode and consist of a total of 200 objective-type questions. The maximum time duration of the exam shall be r hours and 20 minutes. Similar to its previous iteration, the NEET UG 2024 Exam will also be held in 13 languages which include: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Interested candidates may further note that while applying for the NEET UG 2024 Exam, General/NRI candidates will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,700, while General-EWS/ OBC-NCL candidates will be required to pay a fee of Rs 1,600. For SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender candidates, the NEET UG 2024 Application Fee is Rs 1,000. For more details on the NEET UG 2024 Exam, candidates are advised to visit the official website.

  • On the homepage, register as a new user
  • Login using your generated credentials
  • Fill in the application form with all required details
  • Upload relevant documents
  • Review the application form
  • Submit the application
  • Download the application confirmation page for future reference
