NEET PG 2024: Frustrated Aspirants Call Counselling Delay 'Unbearable' As They Await Schedule

The Supreme Court will hear the NEET PG 2024 result transparency plea on October 25, causing delays in the counselling schedule and leaving candidates frustrated over exam irregularities and lack of updates.

NEET PG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing: The NEET PG 2024 Counselling schedule is awaited. The Supreme Court will hear the NEET PG 2024 result transparency plea on Friday, October 25. Several petitioners have raised concerns regarding last-minute changes in the examination pattern and other irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Aspirants are particularly frustrated by the lack of transparency in the results process. They voiced their dissatisfaction with the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for introducing sudden changes just three days before the exam, as well as concerns about the unclear marking process and other related issues.

The NEET PG counselling schedule has yet to be released due to a pending case in the Supreme Court, leaving candidates eagerly awaiting the announcement of the dates. Many aspirants have taken to the social media platform X to express their concerns over the delay in the counselling process.

Dr. Amartya Chakraborty, an aspirant, wrote on X, "This year will go down in history as the worst for the NEET PG exam and counselling. The conduct of the exam was nothing short of a circus, and the counselling process is no better. God knows what is going on with these people."

Another aspirant, Dr. Malika Jain, wrote, "The delay in NEET PG counselling is unbearable. No clarity, no updates, and no support from anyone—faculties, institutes, or the government. We're left in limbo, with our futures and mental health on the line. This needs to be addressed NOW!"

The NEET PG 2024 exam was held on August 11 by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), with the results announced on August 23. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for overseeing the counselling process for 50% of the All India Quota (AIQ) MD and MS seats across the country.
