Mohan Yadav Decides To Hand Out BIG Gift To Meritorious Higher Secondary Students In MP

The Madhya Pradesh government will provide lucrative gifts to higher secondary school students who excel in their exams under the Chief Minister's Incentive Scheme.

MP News: The Mohan Yadav-led government in Madhya Pradesh is going to hand out gifts to students who have excelled in the Higher Secondary examination under the Chief Minister's incentive scheme — CM Medhavi Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana. The meritorious students will receive laptops as their gifts from the MP government on February 15.

Earlier, CM Mohan Yadav handed out scooters to the toppers of the Class-12 examination conducted by the state board.

The Bharatiya Janata Party government of Madhya Pradesh launched a scheme to provide laptops to government school students who excelled in the higher secondary examinations in 2009. At the time, the government had set the bar for the grant of laptops to students who scored more than 85%.

However, the bar has been lowered to 75% since then. The government announced that students scoring 75% or more would also be given laptops to increase enrolment in schools.

In 2022-23, more than 78,000 students had benefited from the scheme. After this, the number of students has increased by about 12,000 this year. This time, about 90,000 students will benefit from the laptop scheme.

Cash Benefits By Mohan Yadav Government

Under the Chief Minister's incentive scheme, the Madhya Pradesh government also gives Rs 25,000 to students who excel in the higher secondary examinations to buy laptops. This year, the government is going to invest more than Rs 225 crore in this scheme. The government has also benefited students by spending crores of rupees on scooters.
