JNV Class 6 Admission: Registration Deadline Extended Till February 8, Know How To Apply

JNV Class 6 Admission: Students can fill the application form on the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti at navodaya.gov.in.

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the Class 6 admission registration deadline to February 8, 2023 due to administrative reasons. Students can apply online till February 8 on the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti at navodaya.gov.in.

"Online registration for Admission to Class-VI (session 2023-24) in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas through the selection test is in progress. The last date of submission of online applications is extended to February 8, 2023. Candidates may apply free of cost by visiting the website https://navodaya.gov.in or https://cbseitms.rcil.gov.in. " reads the notice.

Selection Process

The JNV Selection Test is a mandatory exam for Class 6 admission to JNVs for 2023-24 academic session. It will take place on April 29 at 11:30 AM, and results are expected to be released by June 2023. The test is 2 hours long, with 3 sections of objective-type questions. The test will have a total of 80 questions for 100 marks.

Candidates are advised not to forget their admit card on exam day. No one will be allowed to take the test without admit card. They must show either an Aadhaar card or a government-approved residency certificate of their parent. The photo on the admit card must match the candidate at the examination center, as verified by the invigilator.

At least 75% of the seats in a district are filled by candidates provisionally selected from rural areas of the district. The remaining seats are open and will be filled by Urban and Rural Area candidates of the districts on the basis of merit.

  • Visit the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya, navodaya.gov.in.
  • Click on the admission tab.
  • Now click on the admission notifications.
  • Click on the application link for the class 6 admission test.
  • A new page will open, Click on the link for Class VI Registration.
  • Fill the application form.
  • Upload the documents.
  • Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
