JKSSB Postpone Various Recruitment Exam Scheduled To Be Held From May 24 Amidst Covid-19
The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure in view of surge in the covid-19 cases and lockdown restrictions across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has postponed the computer-based examinations for various posts scheduled to be held from May 24 to May 31, 2021. The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure in view of surge in the covid-19 cases and lockdown restrictions across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. A notice regarding this has been uploaded on the official website of JKSSB at jkssb.nic.in.

"Due to surge in COVID-19 cases across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and rapidly changing circumstances, lockdown restrictions including social distancing norms and health considerations, the J&K Services Selection Board has reached to the conclusion that it would not be feasible to conduct the aforesaid examinations on the scheduled/ notified dates in view of the prevailing situation," reads the official notification.
The board has also released the provisional allocation list of Districts/Cadres in favour of eligible candidates for the recruitment of Accounts Assistant (Panchayat) in the Department of Rural Development, and Panchayati Raj on its official website. Candidates who have appeared in the recruitment examination can check the list online at jkssb.nic.in.
