TNPSC Civil Services and Combined Engineering Service Exam Postponed Due To Covid-19, Check Details

According to the official notification, the commission had postponed the examinations that were scheduled to be held in May and June 2021.

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has deferred the Civil Services, Combined Engineering Service, and Rashtriya Indian Military College Entrance Exam in view of the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country. A notice regarding this decision has been uploaded on the official website of the commision at tnpsc.gov.in.

According to the official notification, the commission had postponed the examinations that were scheduled to be held in May and June 2021. The TNPSC civil services examination was to be conducted from May 28 to 30, 2021, TNPSC Combined Engineering Subordinate Services was scheduled to be held on June 6, 2021, and the TNPSC Rashtriya Indian Military College Entrance examination was to be held on June 5, 2021.  

The commission is conducting the TNPSC civil services exam to fill 69 vacancies, out of which, 19 vacancies are for Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category-I), 18 for Deputy Collector, 14 for Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, 10 for Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Taxes), 7 for Assistant Director of Rural Development, and 1 for District Officer (Fire and Rescue Services), while through Combined Engineering Subordinate Services Examination, the commission will recruit candidates to fill 536 posts of Junior Draughting Officer, Junior Technical Assistant, and Junior Engineer.

The fresh schedule for the TNPSC Civil Services, Combined Engineering Service, and Rashtriya Indian Military College Entrance Exam will be announced by the commission in due course of time. Candidates who have registered for the TNPSC examinations are advised to keep visiting the official website of the commission regularly for the latest updates regarding the examination.
