IIT Delhi Launches Advanced Programme in Technology & AI Leadership

IIT Delhi's Advanced Programme in Technology & AI Leadership equips emerging tech leaders with critical AI skills, offering strategic leadership, digital transformation, and innovation expertise.

The demand for visionary technology leaders capable of navigating the complexities of today’s digital landscape is at an all-time high. According to management consulting firm Korn Ferry, over 82% of CEOs and senior leaders believe artificial intelligence (AI) will have a significant to extreme impact on their business operations.

Responding to this growing need, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, ranked 4 in Management Colleges in India (NIRF 2024), has introduced the Advanced programmeme in Technology & AI Leadership (TAILP). This programme is designed to equip emerging leaders with the critical skills needed to excel in an AI-driven world.

TAILP is tailored for new and emerging technology leaders, IT decision-makers, senior managers, business consultants, analysts, and tech entrepreneurs. It empowers participants to drive sustainable growth through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of AI. The programme covers how to create innovative technology strategies, manage IT systems with a focus on cybersecurity and compliance, and develop leadership skills crucial for AI-led projects.

Participants will have access to cutting-edge AI research from IIT Delhi, enabling them to foster resilience and innovation while staying competitive in the rapidly evolving digital economy.

The Advanced programmeme in Technology & AI Leadership provides a comprehensive curriculum that delves into essential topics such as AI and Machine Learning for Business, Digital Transformation, Cyber Resilience, and emerging technologies like blockchain and the metaverse. Additionally, participants will work on a guided capstone project, applying their knowledge to real-world challenges in technology assessment.

The programme also includes a two-day campus immersion at IIT Delhi, where participants will engage with faculty, collaborate with peers, and participate in workshops designed to refine their leadership skills and deepen their understanding of AI-powered business environments.

EY’s CEO Survey highlights the importance of such programmes, revealing that Indian business leaders are increasingly integrating AI into their strategic plans, with 70% of CEOs aiming to boost investment in AI and new technologies. This trend underscores the urgent need for leaders who can navigate the AI-driven landscape and spearhead innovation.

IIT Delhi’s esteemed faculty will deliver the programme, including Professor Arpan Kumar Kar, a thought leader in information systems with expertise in emerging technologies. Prof. Kar has led research projects for top organizations like BASF, Fidelity, PwC, Facebook, and the World Bank, earning accolades such as the Research Excellence Award from Clarivate Analytics and the BK Birla Distinguished Researcher Award.

With over 200 research publications and more than 18,000 citations, Prof. Kar’s insights will help participants master the complexities of AI-driven business environments and hone their tech leadership skills.
