IIM CAT 2020 Online Registration Process To Begin From Wednesday At 10 AM; Check Steps To Apply

The computer-based CAT 2020 will be conducted by IIMs on Sunday, November 29, 2020 in two sessions, as a prerequisite for admission to various management programmes of its institutes across India.

  • Step 1: Go to the official website - iimcat.ac.in
  • Step 2: Click on 'Register' tab on the homr page. If already registered, then login with your credentials
  • Step 3: Fill in the form with all the required details
  • Step 4: Click on Submit button
  • Step 5: Pay the applicable Registration Fee. (Candidates must pay the registration fee through online payment modes only, which
  • will include credit cards, debit cards and net banking.)
  • Step 6: Take a print out for the future purpose
Before a prospective candidate makes a decision to appear for CAT 2020, it is advised to must visit the official website and read the programme advertisement of the concerned IIM and specific programmes in order to ensure accurate and updated information on the programmes you want to apply for. Becomes One Of The Youngest IAS Officer Of India CAT 2020 ELIGIBILITY Candidates applying for CAT 2020 should fulfill any one of the following conditions:
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree with the required percentage of marks
  • Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) with required percentage
  • Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree with required percentage
For General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates, the candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, required marks to apply for the exam is 45%. Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. CAT 2020 EXAM PATTERN: The duration of the test will be 180 minutes. There will be three sections:
  • Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
  • Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
  • Section III: Quantitative Ability
Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section. Some questions in each section may not be of multiple-choice type. Instead, direct answers will have to be typed on the screen. Also, the candidates will be allowed to use a basic on- screen calculator for computation. The list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of the respective IIMs. Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. The criteria for shortlisting vary across IIMs. Please visit the admission websites of the respective IIMs for further information.
