HP State Eligibility Test: HP SET 2019 registration has begun on the official website of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) - hppsc.hp.gov.in. The HP State Eligibility Test (SET) 2019 will be organized for 22 subjects for candidates aspiring to qualify for Assistant Professor recruitment at various Universities and Colleges of the state of Himachal Pradesh. Candidates can apply for only the subject they have pursued in their Postgraduation. HPPSC has not announced the date of HP SET 2019 as yet, however, depending upon the number of candidates, HP SET 2019 will be organized at the examination centres in Shimla, Solan, Mandi, Dharamshala, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Nahan, Una, Kullu and Chamba. The application process will conclude on 10th January 2019, next month, and interested candidates must submit their online applications by midnight 11:59 pm. HP SET 2019 – Eligibility Criteria: The applicant must have scored minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications. (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates of HP) HP SET 2019 – Examination Pattern: Paper-I – 50 Questions – 100 Marks – 10:30 am to 11:30 am The Paper-I will be of general nature and will be based on topics like teaching/research aptitude, reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. Paper-II – 100 Questions – 200 Marks – 2 pm to 4 pm The Paper-II will be based on the syllabi of the subject chosen by the candidates. How to apply for HP SET 2019? Step 1 – Visit the official website – hppsc.hp.gov.in Step 2 – Click on ‘One Time Registration System’ tab to register yourself Step 3 – Click on ‘Apply Online’ to login to your profile Step 4 – Fill the application form and pay the application fee Step 5 – Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference HP SET 2019 Result Criteria: As per the official notification, the top 6% of candidates (appearing in both papers), who will secure minimum 40% aggregate marks (35% for reserved category candidates) will be declared qualified for Eligibility for Assistant Professor as per HP State Eligibility Test 2019 after considering reservation policy of the State Government.
