The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 exam. CSIR NET Exam was conducted from December 26 to 28. Candidates can check and download the answer key on the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in. A total of 2,19,146 candidates took the computer-based test (CBT) across 356 exam centers in 176 cities. The NTA has also uploaded the question papers and response sheets along with the CSIR UGC NET answer key.
Candidates dissatisfied with the answer key can challenge it starting today until January 8. A non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per questioned item is applicable for challenges.

Here are the steps for candidates looking to raise objections against the CSIR UGC NET answer key:
Step 1: Visit the official CSIR UGC NET website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: Access the challenge window and provide your application number and date of birth.
Step 3: Click on "View Question Paper" to check your responses and review/challenge the answer keys.
Step 4: Select the "Click to view/Challenge Answer Key" link.
Step 5: Sequentially, the Question IDs will be displayed.
Step 6: To challenge an option, tick the checkbox for the respective Option IDs in the next columns.
Step 7: Upload any supporting documents to validate your challenge and save your claim.
Step 8: Pay the objection fees for each questioned item.
Step 9: Submit your challenge and save the confirmation page for reference.

Notably, Joint CSIR UGC NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC. Online applications for JRF/NET are invited twice a year on all India basis through Press Notification of Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF and LS/AP.
