Students have been waiting eagerly as usually, practical tests are conducted in January and theory exams begin in February and conclude in March. Here's what we know so far No exams in Jan or Feb: The Education Minister said during a webinar with teachers last week that no CBSE board exams will take place in January and February. "No CBSE board exams to take place in January or February. The current scenario is in-conducive for exams. A decision on exams will be taken later," said Pokhriyal. No plans for cancelling exams: While there will be no exams before February 2021, promoting students without any exam is also out of question. "Cancelling exams and promoting students without exams will put a stamp on these students. These students might face trouble in getting jobs and admissions at higher education level in the future as they would be termed as Covid-era students. We do not want that for them," said Pokhriyal during the webinar. Exams will be held in written mode:  The Education minister also confirmed that exams will not be held online. "We need a laptop and stable internet and electricity for each student which is a challenge. A percentage of students do not have equal access to education. While we have used unique methods to teach students but having such methods for exams might not be fair," Pokhriyal said. The Board had also earlier said that the exams will be in the written mode. Reduced syllabus: The CBSE has reduced the syllabus for the exams by 30 percent and the revised syllabus is available on the official website. New question paper design: There will be 33 percent internal choices in the exam.
