BSSC CGL Paper Leak: Bihar Police Lathi-Charge Students Protesting Against Paper Leak

Thousands of aspirants of BSSC CGL exam gathered in Patna and protested against the recent paper leak on Wednesday.

Bihar Police lathi-charge BSSC aspirants who were protesting against the state govt over paper leak. These aspirants are demanding the cancellation of exam for all shifts. Aspirants were protesting against the question paper leak at Dak Bungalow Chauraha in Patna.

''They started violence and vandalism and to control it, (lathi-charge) was done. Some have been arrested. FIR will be registered against them.'' said MS Khan, Special Executive Magistrate, Patna.

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) conducted the combined graduate-level (CGL) exam in two phases on December 23 and 24 last year. The question papers got leaked on several social media platforms hours before the examination after which the exam was cancelled. Aspirants are claiming irregularity in all 3 shifts of the exam and demanding cancellation of exams in all shifts.

Through this recruitment, BSSC looks to fill up 2,187 vacancies of planning assistant, data entry operator grade C and secretariat assistant, etc.

Earlier, the Chief Minister of Bihar assured the students that he would initiate an investigation into the matter. This is not the first case of a paper leak in Bihar. Earlier last year, the state’s civil services (preliminary) examination was held by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on May 8 and was cancelled within hours after it got leaked online.
