Khan Sir Joins BPSC Aspirants' Protest In Patna, Demands Ending 'Normalisation Process' — WATCH
BPSC Protest: Khan Sir joined BPSC aspirants protesting in Patna demanding a single-shift exam with a common question paper to eliminate the "normalisation process."
BPSC Protest: Educator and YouTuber Khan Sir joined Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants protesting in Patna's Gardanibagh on Friday. The students are demanding that the upcoming 70th BPSC Preliminary Examination be held in a single shift with one common question paper to eliminate the controversial 'normalisation process.'
Khan Sir, addressing the protest, said, "How unfortunate is this that we need to protest for our demand on the land of Chanakya just one week before the examinations. We want the president (of BPSC) to say that there will be no normalisation and the examinations will be held in one shift, and one paper will be given to all the students. We will not move from here until normalisation is assured to be removed", news agency ANI reported.

BPSC Protest: Patna Police Use Mild Lathi-Charge To Disperse Protestors, Deny Detaining Khan Sir
The protest escalated when a large number of aspirants attempted to march towards the BPSC office on Bailey Road, disrupting traffic. Police used mild lathi-charge to disperse the crowd. According to news agency PTI, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajeev Mishra stated, "No protesters sustained any injury. Mild force was used to disperse those who tried to break the police barricade. We are registering an FIR against the protesters, and all CCTV footage is being analysed for further action."
Eyewitnesses, however, alleged that two or three aspirants were injured during the police action, as per PTI's report.
The protesting students demanded a clear statement from the BPSC ruling out the use of normalisation and urged the extension of the examination date, citing technical difficulties faced during the application process. The examination, scheduled for 13 December, will be conducted across 925 centres and is expected to see participation from approximately five lakh candidates.
Khan Sir, known for his online coaching and significant influence among students, sat on a dharna at Gardanibagh and voiced his support for the aspirants. He reiterated, "As long as the chairman does not issue a clarification, our dharna will continue."

Refuting reports of his detention, the SSP clarified that Khan Sir had voluntarily gone to the Gardanibagh police station to emphasise that the agitation would persist until the demands were met.
The protest has also drawn political attention, with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav backing the students. In a statement, Yadav called for a reversion to the previous examination format and criticised the normalisation process. He said, "The BPSC should conduct exams as they were previously done, without the normalisation process. The Commission should also extend the examination date."
Taking a swipe at CM Nitish Kumar, he posted on X, "Those whose political careers are at the retirement age are getting students and candidates preparing for jobs beaten with sticks. The barbaric lathi-charge on aspirants by the Nitish-BJP government is intolerable and condemnable."
"Students will study, fight the system, clash with the government for jobs, endure the government's sticks, and still cast their votes. The #BPSC is working at the behest of the paper leak syndicate and coaching mafia. If the government is not in collusion with the mafia, what is the problem in accepting the legitimate demands of the students? #BPSC_NO_NORMALIZATION" he added.
