AISSEE 2024: Registrations For Sainik School Admissions For Class 6, 9, Begin On aissee.ntaonline.in
The NTA will conduct the AISSEE 2204 for admissions into Sainik Schools for Classes 6 and 9 on January 21, 2024.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for AISSEE (All India Sainik School Entrance Exam) 2024 for Sainik School Admissions for Class 6 and Class 9. Candidates who wish to take admissions in Sainik Schools in Class 6 and Class 9, for the academic session beginning in 2024, can submit their registration cum application forms for the AISSEE 2024 till December 16, 2023. The application forms for the AISSEE 2024 are to be submitted in the online mode only on the official website - aissee.ntaonline.in. At the time of submitting the application forms, candidates will be required to pay an AISSEE 2024 Application Fee of Rs Rs 650. However, the application fee for SC, ST students is Rs 500.
As per the official schedule, the NTA will conduct the AISSEE 2024 on January 21, 2024. The exam will be conducted in the offline pen and paper mode at exam centres located in 186 cities across the country. The exam paper will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and candidates will be required to mark their responses in the sheet provided to them.
“Admission to Class VI and Class IX of the 33 Sainik Schools for the academic year 2024-25, is through a written exam called AISSEE 2024. Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). The admission of candidates will be carried out on the basis of e-counseling as per rank secured by the candidates in the School wise, gender wise, category wise (Home State and Outside State) Merit List of AISSEE 2024, medical fitness approved by competent medical authorities and verification of original documents,” reads the official AISSEE 2024 handout.

To apply for AISSEE 2024 for admission into Sainik School Class 6, candidates must be between 10 and 12 years as on March 31, 2024. Candidates applying for the AISSEE 2023 for Sainik School Class 9 admissions should be aged between 13 and 15 years as on March 31, 2024, and must have passed their Class 8 from a recognised school. Although admission for girls is open, it is subject to availability of vacancies. The age limit for girls and boys though, is the same.
