4 Students On Way To Board Exams Killed In Accident in UP's Shahjahanpur

UP Board Exam: Police said the car hit a tree and fell into a ditch near Jarawav village.

Shahjahanpur: Tragedy struck as four students en route to appear in Uttar Pradesh board examinations lost their lives on Tuesday with six others sustaining injuries when the vehicle they were traveling in veered off course and collided with a tree, according to police reports. The students were on their way to a school in Jaitipur for the examination when the accident occurred, authorities confirmed.

Police indicated that the vehicle swerved off the road and crashed into a tree before landing in a ditch near Jarawav village, as stated by Additional SP (City) Sanjay Kumar.

The victims, identified as Anurap Khushwaha (15), Anurag Srivastava (14), and Pratishtha Mishra (15), tragically lost their lives at the scene, while Mohini Maurya (16) succumbed to injuries in the hospital, he added.

The six injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at a medical college, where their condition has been reported as stable.

Notably, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) today conducted the Class 10 or High School Mathematics paper examination in the first shift. The examination held from 8:30 am to 11:45 am. Concurrently, in the same shift, Class 12 students appeared in examinations of certain minor papers. 

In the second shift, scheduled from 2 pm to 5:15 pm, Class 10 students will be writing the Automobiles paper, while Class 12 students will be taking the Business Studies and Home Science exams.

Admit cards for the UPMSP UP board exam 2024 have been issued to students through their respective schools. Printed copies of this document must be brought to the exam venue as they are mandatory for entry and during attendance.

For the first time, command and control room has been set up at the Board’s headquarters at Prayagraj and also at all the five regional offices of the Board. Along with this, an online monitoring of examination centers has been set up a command and control room in the Vidya Samiksha Kendra building in Lucknow.
