An elderly woman and man were rescued from a fire at a sweet shop in Delhi's Geeta Colony on Sunday.
New Delhi: An elderly woman and man were rescued from a fire at a sweet shop in Delhi's Geeta Colony on Sunday. The incident took place in the Jheel area in Delhi.
According to ANI, efforts to douse the fire were underway. Fire tenders have rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
Two people including an elderly woman were rescued by Delhi Police and fire services, reported ANI.

Earlier on Friday, two persons were severely injured in a reactor blast reported in a private pharma lab in Andhra Pradesh's Anakapalli. A fire broke out at Sahithi Pharma in the Achuthapuram Industrial Special Economic Zone in Anakapalli.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Murali Krishna had informed that the injured were taken to a hospital while a probe has been launched into the incident which will also ascertain if there is any negligence from the management that caused the blaze.
"A reactor blast was reported in a private Pharma lab in Anakapalli. In the blast, two persons received severe burning injuries and were shifted to a hospital for treatment. A case will be registered and an investigation will be carried out on how the incident took place and whether there is any negligence from the management," Anakapalli SP Murali Krishna told news agency ANI.
