'Fear Of Conviction In Illegal Recruitment Case': AAP Says Swati Maliwal 'Joined BJP In Plot' Against Delhi CM
AAP alleged that Swati Maliwal got involved in "BJP's conspiracy" as "Anti Corruption Bureau had filed a case against her and the time of conviction was coming near."
After the Aam Aadmi Party accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of hatching a consipracy to frame Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Swati Maliwal assault case, it has once again lashed out at the saffron party for making Maliwal its "pawn". The AAP has alleged that Swati Maliwal got involved in the plot against the Delhi CM since the conviction time of the case filed against her by the Anti Corruption Bureau regarding the illegal recruitment of contractual employees in DCW was coming near.
Suggesting the reason behind her alleged involvement, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi claimed: "A chargesheet has been filed and the time of conviction is coming, we believe that Swati Maliwal is being included in the conspiracy by using this case."
Atishi's statements coincided with the arrest of Bibhav Kumar, Delhi CM's close aide, who was accused of assaulting Swati Maliwal. Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police on May 18.

Atishi further went on to allege how not just BJP but the Ministry of Home Affairs and even Delhi Police were involved in it.
"How the entire machinery of BJP, from MHA to Delhi Police is working, was seen yesterday in Tis Hazari Court… Yesterday, the whole day the court kept asking for a copy of the FIR from the police on the demand of Bibhav Kumar, but the copy was not given. The court had given time till this morning," the Delhi Minister said at a press conference on the Maliwal issue.
Adding that the Delhi Police has not responded, saying that it cannot submit the FIR to the court as it is "sensitive", the AAP leader claimed that "all the media houses by the BJP have the FIR, but BJP's police are saying that we can't give it to the accused."
Meanwhile, JP Nadda slammed AAP for accusing the BJP for conspiring with Swati Maliwal, saying that the party had lost its credibility and inculcated a culture of assaulting people at the Delhi CM's residence.
