Delhi Witnesses Rain Again As National Capital Likely To See More Downpour, Dust Storms Today
As rain provided some relief to Delhiites on Monday morning, IMD has predicted that the national capital will witness rainfall along with duststorms and gusty winds today.
Delhiites woke up to a pleasant Monday morning as rain poured down in some parts of the national capital bringing relief amid the scorching heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday night had predicted rain along with dust storms to hit parts of Delhi-NCR. Meanwhile, the weather agency on Saturday also issued an Orange Alert for Haryana, North-East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and said that there is a possibility of thunderstorms in the national capital for the next 3-4 days.
The IMD took to Twitter to inform regarding the dust storm with rain, its bulletin read, "Dust storm/Thunderstorm with rain and gusty winds speed of 40-60 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas of few places of Delhi, NCR ( Bahadurgarh, Gurugram) Hansi, Meham, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Farukhnagar, Nuh (Haryana) during next 2 hours."

News agency ANI shared a visual from Jantar Mantar showcasing the rainfall during the early hours of Monday.

The weather agency also predicted light to moderate spells of rain over Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Andaman & Nicobar islands during the next 3-4 hours. In a tweet it said, "Latest satellite imagery shows possibility of light to moderate spells of rain accompanied with thunderstorms/lightning/gusty winds activity over some parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Andaman & Nicobar Islands during next 3-4 hours."

Meanwhile, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority on Sunday stated that light to moderate spells of rain coupled with thunderstorms and gusty winds are expected in Delhi in the next 24 hours.
IMD while sharing the latest satellite and Radar images earlier said, "Latest satellite and Radar images shows the possibility of moderate to intense spells of rain accompanied with thunderstorms/lightning/gusty winds/Squall activity over some parts of Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat Region and adjoining Madhya Pradesh."
"Light to moderate isolated thunderstorms/lightning/gusty winds activity over Himachal Pradesh, southeast Uttar Pradesh, south Odisha-north coastal Andhra Pradesh-south Chhattisgarh, Gangetic west Bengal, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and adjoining south interior Karnataka and north Interior Karnataka, Vidarbha, Telangana and Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands during night time," IMD further said.
