Father-Son Duo Among 3 Electrocuted During Motor Repair At Delhi Hospital
Delhi Fire Services reached the spot upon receiving the information to retrieve the bodies of the electrician and two plumbers from the water tank.
Three persons, including a father-son duo, died due to electrocution during a repair work at a private hospital in outer Delhi's Ranhola area on Friday, according to an ANI report. The police confirmed that the incident took place at the Commander Hospital in Vikar Nagar while the three were repairing a water motor in a tank.
The deceased have been identified as Sarvesh Kumar, 59, a resident of Sahibabad who worked as an electrician, and Kunwar Pal, 40, along with his son Raman, 20, both plumbers and residents of Hastal Village in Delhi.
On Friday, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer), Harendra Singh, reported that at 2:28 PM, they received information at the Ranhola police station about people trapped due to an electrocution incident at the hospital. "A police team was despatched to the location after an alarm was raised. The team found the three persons in the water tank on the hospital premises,” the officer stated. The incident occurred while the trio was inside the tank to repair the motor.
After receiving the information, two fire trucks hurried to the location, and the bodies were moved out of the tank. Atul Garg, head of the Delhi Fire Service, stated that two fire trucks were promptly sent out in response to an emergency call received around 2:56 PM.
Police are investigating the matter as the exact sequence of events leading to the electrocution is yet to be determined.

"The cause of death will be confirmed only after autopsy reports. The bodies have been moved to DDU Hospital, Delhi, and further procedures are being conducted in accordance with the law," an officer stated, as per PTI.
According to news agency PTI, Lakhan Singh, a relative of the hospital owner, said, "The incident is very tragic. I was away from the hospital when all this happened and got to know about the incident from media reports only... We are with the family members of the victim and will help them financially too".
Kunwar Pal's wife, when trying to ascertain her husband's situation, was prevented from entering the hospital premises. "My husband Kunwar Pal and my son Raman had left for the hospital. At around 5 pm, I got a call on my mobile phone and I was asked to reach the hospital soon. When I went near the main gate of the hospital, I was stopped. No one told me what had happened," Raj Kumar was quoted by PTI.
