Centre's Ordinance Row: Delhi CM Kejriwal Will Meet Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar On May 24 & 25

According to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Kejriwal is set to have meetings with Thackeray and Pawar on May 24 and May 25 respectively.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will travel to Mumbai to meet with Sharad Pawar, the President of the Nationalist Congress Party, and Uddhav Thackeray, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, in order to solicit their support against the Centre's ordinance regarding bureaucratic transfers in the national capital, news agency ANI reported.

According to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Kejriwal is set to have meetings with Thackeray and Pawar on May 24 and May 25 respectively.

During a recent meeting in Delhi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed his solidarity with Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, regarding the Centre's proposal to return the control of "services" to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

Tejashwi Yadav, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, graced the event with his presence.

Nitish Kumar, the leader of Janata Dal (United), is engaging with Opposition leaders to reinforce the alliance against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Following the enactment of an ordinance on Friday, the central government has officially established regulations governing the management of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) in relation to personnel transfers, investigative oversight, and related matters. The ordinance aims to modify the 1991 Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act and goes against the ruling of the Supreme Court in the Centre vs Delhi case.

On Saturday, the leader of AAP accused the action of being unconstitutional and illegitimate, asserting that it undermines the fundamental framework of the Constitution. In an issued statement, he alleged that the Centre was deliberately challenging the ruling of the apex court and exploiting the fact that the court would close at 4 pm to pass the ordinance.
