Kejriwal Postpones 2-Day Goa Visit Over Republic Day Preparations
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal postponed his two-day visit to Goa owing to Republic Day preparations.
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal has postponned his visit to Goa owing to Republic Day preparations, reported PTI quoting party sources as saying. Kejriwal was scheduled to vist Goa for two days starting Thursday to assess the party's preparations in the state for the Lok Sabha elections.
"Delhi CM’s Goa tour has been postponed due to Republic Day preparations. Now, he will leave for Goa next week," reported the news agency quoting a party as saying.
Kejriwal has pulled up his socks for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. On January 7 and 8, the Delhi CM was in Gujarat he held public meetings and met jailed party leader Chaitar Vasava.
He also announced Vasava as the party's candidate from the Bharuch constituency.
The AAP chief has started his poll campaign amid ongoing action by the Enforcement Directorate against him in connection with the alleged irregularities in the implementation of the now-scrapped excise policy in the national capital.
Last week, Kejriwal skipped third summons by the central enforcement agency to appear before it over the matter. The AAP leaders also claimed that the ED could raid and arrest Kejriwal from his residence.

Skipping the summons, Kejriwal accused the BJP-led Centre of getting him arrested so that he could not campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, adding the ED summons issued to him was aimed at hurting his "biggest asset" honesty and defaming him.
"My biggest asset is my honesty and the BJP wants to hurt my honesty with fake cases. I have always fought for the country, every breath of mine, every drop of my blood is dedicated to the country," Kejriwal asserted.
