Caught On Camera: AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan's Son Thrashes Petrol Pump Staff

The incident was caught on CCTV camera where Amanatullah Khan's son could be seen thrashing a petrol pump employee.

A case has been registered against Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan's son after he was seen thrashing an employee of a petrol pump in Noida's Sector 95. The incident was caught on CCTV camera and after the police received the information, an FIR was registered against him on charges of assault and criminal intimidation, as per a PTI report.

The Okhla MLA, however, claimed that his son had been wrongly framed in the case and that it was a "one-sided" action by the police, adding that he was going to appear in an exam when the incident happened.

"The staff of the petrol pump misbehaved with my son and also manhandled him. Now, they are using incomplete CCTV footage to malign my image and frame me in a one-sided police action," Khan alleged.

Amanatullah Khan's Son Jumped Queue

The FIR was lodged on a complaint by an employee of the petrol pump who claimed that the AAP leader's son came in the morning to get fuel for his car but jumped the queue. Khan's son, Anas Ahmed, a law student, was mentioned as "unidentified" in the FIR, the PTI report added.

Ahmed, allegedly insisted that fuel for his car should be filled first and assaulted the salesperson.

"We received information that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi MLA Amanatullah Khan’s son thrashed the employees at the petrol pump...The case has been registered and action will be taken...," said ADCP Manish Mishra.

As per the complainant Vinod Kumar, the alleged incident took place at 9:27 am when Ahmed arrived at the filling station in his car and asked the salesman to put fuel in his car first instead of following the queue.

"After that, he started beating the salesman while threatening that he was the MLA's son. He took out an iron rod from the car and started hitting around. He also broke the card machine kept there," the FIR stated.

To protect the salesperson, other employees of the petrol pump also got involved in the scuffle and subsequently the police was called, as per the FIR, adding that he fled by the team police arrived at the location.

The FIR has been lodged under IPC sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentionally insulting knowing it to be likely that such provocation will break public peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 427 (mischief).
