Adani Is Just A Front, He Is Modi's Manager: CM Arvind Kejriwal In Delhi Vidhan Sabha

Delhi chief minister said Adani of being a front while Narendra Modi is the real person to have accumulated the wealth.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday continued his verbal assault against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech at the Delhi Vidhan Sabha. During the ongoing Delhi budget session, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief took a dig at Modi by questioning his connection to the Indian conglomerate Gautam Adani and levelling a series of charges.

Kejriwal charged Adani, who has been accused of alleged financial irregularities by a Hindenburg report, of being a front for Modi, who is the real person to have accumulated the wealth. "If a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) is formed, Adani will not sink, Modiji will sink. Narendra Modi did nothing for his family but did so much for his friend," he said, adding "Modiji is such a selfish person that if it was only a matter of friendship, he would have sidelined him (Adani) in two minutes."

"Adani is just a front, Modi's money is invested in Adani. He is Modi's manager and he gets 10-15%, the rest belongs to Modiji," Kejriwal said in the Delhi assembly.

Kejriwal further alleged that Prime Minister Modi has the desire to become the wealthiest person on the planet. "It is said that the day Adani becomes the second richest man in the world, Modi will aspire to become the richest man in the world," he said.

The AAP leader also accused Adani of securing the wind project in Sri Lanka by putting pressure on Rajapaksa during Modi's visit to Sri Lanka. "Adani also won the electricity contract in Bangladesh, but Modi ensured that he got it for himself," he added.

Kejriwal's remarks came just a day after he told BJP MLAs in the Delhi Assembly on Monday that their party was quick to take credit for everything that happened after 2014, even if it was not their doing.

"Sab aapne he kia. Is srishti ki rachna he 214 me hui. Hum to jo bhi kaam karte hain, unka (PM Modi) naam lekar kartey hain," Kejriwal had said in the Delhi assembly on Monday.
