How The Smugglers Were Caught

The NCB received information that two women smugglers were aboard Avadh Express (train number 19038). The team quickly reached out to the RPF and apprised them of the situation. The RPF and the NCB then formed a joint team and began an operation to look for the smugglers. The team visually scanned passengers for suspicious behaviour to trace the women.

As the train reached Budhwal station at 11:10 pm, the team conducted a search on the women's coach. They quickly noticed two women acting suspiciously and searched their luggage. This is when the police found 22 packets of charas, weighing 11 kg. The NCB immediately seized the cache and started legal action against both women.

NCB officer Prashant Singh Yadav said that the entire operation was conducted with the help of women officials.

The accused were detained on the train. They were later placed under arrest when the train reached the Gomti Nagar Railway Station in Lucknow. The accused are residents of the Majhauliya area in West Champaran, Bihar.
