Uttarakhand Cabinet Approves UCC Manual, CM Dhami Says 'Promised Fulfilled'
Uttarakhand Cabinet approves Uniform Civil Code manual in a meeting chaired by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Uttarakhand cabinet on Monday approved the manual for the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Following the approval, CM Dhami said the promise that was made in 2022 has been fulfilled.
On Tuesday, a mock drill will be organised on the UCC web portal across the state on January 21.
During the mock drill, trained registrars, sub-registrars and other officers will log in to their respective offices on the UCC portal. They will practice registering services like marriage, divorce, and live-in relationships and will be on the portal.
The mock drill will aim to ensure that after the implementation of UCC, the general public does not face any kind of technical hindrance in getting services.
Local Commissioner and Training Nodal Officer Ajay Mishra said, "We will test our preparations through live mock drills. The officers and employees are very enthusiastic about the web portal, and this mock drill will help in finalising our preparations."
A special training program on the usage and technical aspects of the UCC web portal was started in the entire state on January 9. This training was conducted in all the districts and blocks with most of the blocks concluding the process on January 13, while in the last block, the training will be conducted on January 20.
