Wrong-Side Bus, Car-Trailer Collision Kill 7 In UP Accidents; CM Yogi Adityanath Orders Swift Action

Two separate road accidents in Uttar Pradesh resulted in seven fatalities and several injuries. In Kushinagar, four people died when their car collided with a truck. In Bulandshahr, three died after a bus hit an auto.

In two separate road accidents in Uttar Pradesh, seven lives were lost and several others injured, prompting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to issue directives for swift relief and medical assistance. The tragic incidents occurred in Kushinagar and Bulandshahr districts over the weekend.

Four from Siddharthnagar Die in Kushinagar Crash

According to Amar Ujala, a fatal collision took place near Baghahi in the Patherwa police station area of Kushinagar district on Sunday afternoon. A car carrying six individuals returning from Baba Dham in Deoghar, Jharkhand, crashed into a trailer truck, resulting in the deaths of four passengers and injuries to two others. All were residents of Siddharthnagar.

The deceased were identified as Ramkaran Gupta, a revenue official (kanungo); Sujeet Jaiswal, a village development officer; Kailash Mani Tripathi and Manoj Singh, both school teachers. Those injured, Rajesh Sharma (who was driving) and Santosh Sharma, were admitted to a hospital in Kushinagar for treatment.

Local reports stated that the group had just completed a pilgrimage and were en route home when the tragedy struck. The news sent waves of mourning through their hometowns.

Three Killed in Bulandshahr as Bus Hits Auto

In another incident, three people lost their lives on Saturday when a state transport bus travelling on the wrong side of the road collided with a passenger auto near the Jio petrol pump and Saint Momina School on the Ginnaura Sheikh-Gulawathi Road in Bulandshahr district.

The impact of the crash killed two women—Asma (52), wife of Yusuf, and Razia (52), wife of Waseem—and a two-year-old girl named Naimat, daughter of Nazim. All victims were from Hussainpur and Sabdalpur villages, reported Dainik Bhaskar. A young man, Nazim, was severely injured and taken to the district hospital, where he is receiving treatment.

Following a tip-off from the Delta Control Room in Basti via WhatsApp, police personnel from Gulawathi and Baral outposts, including Sub-Inspector Devendra Kumar and Head Constable Mohit Kumar, arrived at the scene. The bodies were taken into custody for legal formalities and sent for autopsy. Police also cleared the wreckage to restore normal traffic flow.

CM Yogi Orders Swift Relief, Medical Aid

Reacting to both tragedies, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives. As per PTI, he conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and instructed officials to expedite relief efforts and ensure that the injured receive prompt and adequate medical care.

He directed officials to promptly reach the spot, accelerate relief efforts, and ensure proper medical treatment for the injured, PTI reported. The Chief Minister also wished for their speedy recovery, emphasising the government’s commitment to swift response and support in times of crisis.

CM Adityanath also took cognisance of the Bulandshahr accident and similarly ordered that law enforcement and district administration take immediate action. He directed district officials to immediately reach the accident site, expedite relief operations, and ensure proper medical treatment for the injured.

Police have seized the bus involved in the Bulandshahr crash, and local authorities have confirmed that the situation is now under control.
