Techie Gives Triple Talaq To Wife For Not Sleeping With His Boss In Maharashtra

The man got married to her second wife in January 2024. The woman got to know about his first marriage only after coming to her in-laws' house.

A software engineer allegedly gave triple talaq to his 28-year-old wife when she refused to have physical relations with his boss at a party in Kalyan, Maharashtra. The 45-year-old man is also accused of demanding Rs 15 lakh from her to give the money to his first wife.

A case has been registered against the techie at the Bazarpet police station under various sections as triple talaq is a criminal offence since 2019. The man got married to her second wife in January 2024. The woman got to know about his first marriage only after coming to her in-laws' house.

Husband's Demand For Rs 15 Lakh

For the first few months, the accused husband started harassing his second wife to bring money from her home. He told her that he wanted to give Rs 15 lakh to her first wife for divorce. He then demanded that his wife have physical relations with his boss at an office party. An argument broke out when she refused his demand and in anger, the husband beat her up, gave her triple talaq and forced her out of the house.

When the victim returned to her home, she filed a case against her husband at the Jinsi police station in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on December 19. However, since the crime took place in Kalyan city, it was transferred to the Bazarpet police station on December 20. After that, a complaint was filed at the Bazarpet police station in Kalyan.
