Saif Ali Khan Attack: Accused Shehzad's Mask Found At Actor's Son Jehangir's Room

Mumbai Police have discovered the mask worn by Mohammad Shehzad during his attack on Saif Ali Khan. Found in Khan's son's room, the mask and Shehzad's hair have been sent for DNA testing.

In a recent development, the Mumbai Police, have found the mask of the accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, who attacked Saif Ali Khan at the latter's residence.

The mask was found at the house of the actor. As per the information shared by the police, the mask, which Shehzad wore to hide his identity, was found lying in the room of Saif's son Jehangir. It was here that the scuffle took place between Saif and the accused. The police have sent the mask and his hair to the School of Forensic Medicine for DNA testing. The police have already found 19 fingerprints of the accused from the actor's house as evidence.

Yesterday, the police reached Saif Ali Khan's house with the accused and recreated the crime scene. During this, the accused Shehzad told that he checked the ducts of many flats in the building but because the ducts were sealed and all the doors of the other flats were closed, he could not enter other houses. During this, he found only Saif Ali Khan's backdoor open in the entire building. The accused told that he did not know that he had entered Saif Ali Khan's house. In the morning, after watching the news, he came to know that he had entered the house of famous actor Saif Ali Khan. During this, it was also revealed that the CCTV of the main door of the building was closed. However, the private CCTVs of some flats were working.

The police investigation has revealed that the agent who helped Bangladeshi Shehzad to come to India from Bangladesh took 10 thousand rupees in return for this. Sources have claimed that the accused came to India via Dawki river with the help of the agent.

Apart from this, the agent also helped Shehzad to reach Assam and then put him on a bus to Kolkata. During interrogation, the accused told that the agent also helped him to get a SIM card. After reaching Kolkata from Bangladesh, he stayed in Kolkata for three days and then reached Mumbai.

On Tuesday afternoon, Saif Ali Khan was discharged from the hospital, after spending five days. Last week, the intruder broke into the 54-year-old actor's home and stabbed him several times. Saif was then rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent five-hour surgery to treat the severe injuries, including the removal of a 2.5-inch-long blade from the actor's body.
