Ram Devotees From Goa Visiting Ayodhya Temple Will Soon Have A New Place To Stay
The Goa Government has acquired land in Ayodhya for constructing 'Goa Ram Nivas' for devotees from Goa, supporting the Ayodhya Ram Mandir development.

Ram bhakts will soon have another place to stay when they go to Ayodhya to pray at the Ram temple. The Government of Goa recently acquired land in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, to establish 'Goa Ram Nivas' — a dedicated space designed to welcome devotees of Ram, especially those travelling from Goa.
This move is aligned with the ongoing development of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, a statement from the government read. "Goa Ram Nivas will provide an assured and sacred place of stay for devotees visiting Ayodhya, offering them a peaceful environment to fulfil their spiritual journey," the statement read.
The Ayodhya Ram Mandir was inaugurated and consecrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22 last year.
Expressing gratitude for the support it received from the Uttar Pradesh government, CM Pramod Sawant extended his government's appreciation to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Awas Evam Vikas Parishad, and the Uttar Pradesh government for facilitating the land acquisition.
Parshuram Bhoomi To Ayodhya
Embodying the ethos of ‘Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi’ (Development and Heritage Together), this project not only enhances the spiritual well-being of devotees but also strengthens the deep-rooted cultural ties between Goa. Goa is often referred to as Parshuram Bhoomi and Ayodhya, the sacred Ram Janmabhoomi [birthplace of Ram]. It stands as a powerful testament to India’s shared heritage, where devotion and modern infrastructure seamlessly merge, the Goa government's statement added.
Beyond providing a place of rest, Goa Ram Nivas represents a bridge between two historically rich regions, fostering cultural exchanges and reinforcing national unity. The Government of Goa remains dedicated to preserving India’s timeless traditions while advancing progress, ensuring that spirituality and development continue to go hand in hand, the statement further read.
