Raja Raghuvanshi Murder: Sonam Used His Instagram To Mislead Police
Another shocking revelation has emerged in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case on how Sonam shared a post from his social media handle after the murder.

In a major development in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, investigators have revealed that his widow, Sonam, accessed his Instagram account just an hour after his death in a failed attempt to mislead the police. According to police sources, Raja was murdered between 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM.
Around 2:15 PM, Sonam posted on his Instagram account, writing, "If there's so much pain in one life... then being a bouquet is destined," along with an expletive. The post was part of a ploy to make it appear as if Raja was still alive, suggesting emotional turmoil rather than a murder. It could have been an attempt to mislead the police into believing that the murder was a suicide.
After publishing the post, Sonam reportedly threw Raja's phone into a gorge, attempting to erase digital traces. Three other accused individuals were present with her at the time. All four fled the crime scene shortly after, aiming to stage the incident as an accident.
However, their plan failed. Meghalaya Police pieced together the events and uncovered the truth.
Sonam and the other four accused were produced before a Shillong court after being brought in from Ghazipur via Patna. All five are currently in custody at Shillong’s Sadar police station, where CCTV surveillance is being used to monitor them. During interrogation, Sonam initially lied to the police but later confessed to her role in the crime, sources said.
