Property Dispute Behind Firing On Mumbai Builder? Probe Reveals Dark Details About Victim
Mumbai businessman Sadruddin Khan, with a history of oil smuggling and criminal cases, was injured in a shooting linked to a possible property dispute.

A Mumbai businessman was injured in a shooting on Wednesday night in Navi Mumbai's Chembu area. During the investigation, the police came across certain facts, which have now led them to believe that the attack on the businessman, Sadruddin Khan, was due to a property dispute.
Police said it could have been a personal dispute as well that led to the firing on the builder. Khan is a resident of Belapur in Navi Mumbai. Police sources said that 50-year-old Khan has been involved in oil theft cases for a long time, and several criminal cases are registered against him in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane. The incident occurred when Khan was returning to his home in Navi Mumbai from his office in Dharavi in his luxury SUV.
An officer said that Khan's car had stopped at the Diamond Garden traffic signal when two shooters arrived at the spot on a bike. They were following him from Sion and took the opportunity to fire at him.
An officer further said that one of the three bullets grazed Khan's cheek, causing bleeding. Khan's bodyguards, who were armed with licensed weapons, fired back at the attackers, but they managed to flee the scene. Khan and his driver were rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted. He underwent minor surgery for his cheek wound at the private hospital on Thursday.
Police further said CCTV footage were being scanned from the area to identify the attackers. The forensic team examined Khan's SUV and collected ballistic evidence, which is now being examined to identify the gun. According to initial reports, a country-made pistol is suspected to have been used in the attack.
Sources also said that the statements of witnesses were recorded and several intelligence inputs were also gathered to investigate the case, with preliminary information indicating that the firing could be linked to a property dispute in Mumbra or Navi Mumbai.
However, the police are waiting for Khan's statement.
