Over 7 Crore Pilgrims Took Holy Dip At Sangma During First Six Days Of Maha Kumbh Mela
The Maha Kumbh festival, which began on January 13, has seen a record number of devotees, with over 7 crore taking a dip in the Sangam. On Thursday alone, over 30 lakh devotees bathed.

The 45-day spiritual Maha Kumbh which commenced on January 13 is witnessing a record gathering of devotees taking dip at the Sangam -- the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati rivers.
As per an official statement, over seven crore pilgrims have taken a dip at the Sangam from January 11 to January 16 on the occasion of the Maha Kumbh Mela.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath posted, "In the grand gathering of faith, unity and harmony, Maha Kumbh 2025, Prayagraj, more than 30 lakh devotees today and more than 7 crore devotees so far have got the privilege of taking a holy dip in the holy Triveni. Hearty congratulations to revered saints, 10 lakh Kalpavasis and 20 lakh devotees who earned the holy benefit of taking a holy bath in the sacred waters of Sangam! May Mother Ganga fulfill everyone's wishes."

According to the details, on Thursday alone, more than 30 lakh devotees bathed in the sacred waters.
The state government had anticipated that over 45 crore people will attend the Maha Kumbh this time.
The statement said that the early figure of 7 crore pilgrims in the initial days of the religious congregation clearly indicates this projection to be true.
Devotees from various states and around the world have been immersing themselves in the spiritual atmosphere of the holy confluence in order to seek virtue and divine blessings.
As per the details of devotess taking bath in the holy Sangam, approximately 45 lakh people bathed on January 11. However, on January 12, the number of devotees taking dip increased to 65 lakh.
In the first two days of Mahakumbh alone, more than 5.20 crore devotees took the holy dip. While 1.70 crore pilgrims took the holy dip January 13, the number got doubled as 3.50 crore people bathed in the Sangam on January 14.
