Orange Alert In 30 Districts In Uttar Pradesh Today, Rainfall Likely Till June 5

Rain and thunderstorms are forecast for most of Uttar Pradesh today, 3 June. Rain will cease from 6 June, with temperatures rising afterwards.

UP Weather Update: Uttar Pradesh saw intermittent rainfall across the state in May and June has also begun with showers. This has provided much-needed relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in most districts of the state today (June 3). An orange alert for heavy rain has been issued for over 30 districts. The alert also warns of strong winds and lightning, promising pleasant weather.

According to the Meteorological Department, the current weather conditions are due to a western disturbance. Most districts will experience rain with thunder and lightning today, leading to a drop in temperature. A warning has been issued for gusty winds of 40-50 km/h in several areas. Rainfall is expected to continue in the state till June 5. The weather will be dry from June 6 onwards, with no further rain predicted. After that, the heat will return.

The Meteorological Department has predicted a sudden drop of 2-4 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. However, a rise of 4-6 degrees Celsius is expected from Friday onwards. This means that people will soon face intense heat. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 45-46 degrees.

Orange Alert For Rain In These Districts

An orange alert for heavy rain with thunder, lightning, and strong winds (40-50 km/h) has been issued for Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Bijnor, Moradabad, Agra, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Banda, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Prayagraj, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Sonbhadra and surrounding areas in UP today.

Furthermore, a yellow alert for heavy rain with thunder and lightning has been issued for Raebareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Gonda, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Rampur, Amroha and Bareilly. Isolated rainfall is possible in Ghaziabad, Noida, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Hapur, Sambhal, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Farrukhabad, Kasganj, Etah, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Kannauj, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Sitapur, and Hardoi. Thunder and lightning with gusty winds are expected in these areas.
