Odisha: Workers Trapped As Coal Hopper Collapses At Cement Factory, Rescue Ops On
A coal hopper collapse at a cement factory in Odisha trapped four workers, sparking rescue efforts.

Several workers were feared trapped after a mishap occurred at a cement factory in Odisha's Sundargarh district on Thursday evening.
According to a report by OdishaTV.in, quoting sources, a coal hopper used for storage collapsed at the Dalmia Cement factory in Rajgangpur in Sundargarh district trapping around four workers under the debris. The rescue operation has been launched and is still underway to locate the trapped workers.
The accident took place when stocks were being loaded onto the coal hopper, according to the report.
The district administration rushed to the factory site upon learning about the accident, said Sundargarh MLA Rajen Ekka. He said some are feared dead and demanded the arrest of the factory manager, shift and safety in-charge.
"An accident took place in Dalmia Bharat Cement Limited. We rushed to the factory as soon as we got the information. All the officials from the administration DIG, SP, and sub-collector are inside the factory," Ekka told PTI.
"We are here to help people. Reports are coming that there have been some deaths in the incident. We want the factory manager, shift in charge and safety in charge should be arrested and interrogated. People should be compensated, and treatment should be provided," he added.
