Navratri 2024: Noida Police Issue Traffic Advisory For Dussehra, Durga Idol Immersions, Know Routes To Avoid

Noida Police has issued traffic advisories for Dussehra-Vijayadashami 2024 celebrations. Road closures and diversions will be implemented around key event locations.

The Noida Police has issued a traffic advisory for Dussehra celebrations, scheduled to take place from October 11 to October 12, 2024. The advisory outlines various road closures and diversions to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety during the event.

According to the advisory, from 2:00 PM on October 11 to the conclusion of the celebrations on October 12, major roads around key event locations, including Stadium Sector-21 and Ramlila Maidan in Sector-62, will see traffic restrictions. The police have recommended using alternative routes to avoid disruptions.

"The general public is informed that from 14:00 hours on 11 October 2024 until the conclusion of the Dussehra events on 12 October 2024, traffic restrictions will be implemented in Noida around Sector-21 Stadium, Ramleela Grounds in Sector-62, and various other locations. These restrictions are intended to manage traffic flow during the celebrations and ensure public safety," the advisory stated.

Additionally, vehicles heading towards Ramleela grounds and various event venues will be diverted as part of the traffic management plan.

Noida Traffic Restrictions for Dussehra 2024 Celebrations

The following roads will have complete restriction of vehicle entry in view of Ramleela at Noida Stadium Sector-21A:

  • From Sector 12-22-56 to the Stadium Chowk.
  • From Sector 10-21 U-turn to Sector 12-2256 Trijunction towards the Stadium.
  • From Sector 8-10-11-12 to Stadium Chowk through Mandi Mall Chowk.
  • From Sector 31-25 to Sector 21-25 through Mandi Mall Chowk to Stadium Chowk.
  • From Metro Hospital Chowk to Sector 12-22 Chowk and towards the Stadium.
  • From Coast Guard Trijunction via NH-24 to Sector 12-22 Chowk.
  • From Sector 20-21-25-26 towards Stadium Chowk via Mandi Mall Chowk.
  • From Sector 22-23-24 to Stadium Chowk via Mandi Mall Chowk.

Traffic Diversions will be as follows:

  • Traffic heading from Rajnigandha Chowk towards Sector 12-22-56 Trijunction will be diverted at Sector 10-21 U-turn via Jalvayu Vihar Chowk through Nithari, Sector 31-25 Chowk, NTPC, Gijhod and then towards its destination.
  • Traffic heading from Sector 12-22-56 Trijunction towards Stadium Chowk will be diverted via Sector 57 Chowk, Gijhod Chowk, and Sector 31-25 Chowk towards its destination.
  • Traffic heading from Sector 12-22-56 Trijunction towards Rajnigandha Chowk will be diverted from Sector 12-22-56 Trijunction via Metro Hospital Chowk, Sector 8-10-11-12 Chowk through Harola/Jhundpura Chowk towards its destination.
  • Traffic heading from DM Chowk and Jalvayu Vihar Chowk towards Modi Mall Chowk, Adobe/Reliance Chowk will be diverted via Jalvayu Vihar Chowk, Nithari, Sector 31-25 Chowk, NTPC, and Gijhod Chowk towards its destination.
  • Traffic heading from Sector 54 Trijunction towards Adobe/Reliance Chowk via Jalvayu Vihar Chowk will be diverted via Gijhod Chowk, Sector 31-25 Chowk, and Nithari towards its destination.

Traffic Arrangements for Ramleela at Sector-62:

The following roads will have traffic restrictions or diversions as per requirement:

  1. From Sector-62 Chowki towards Value Bazaar and Fortis Hospital: If necessary, vehicles heading from Sector-62 Chowki towards Value Bazaar and Fortis Hospital will be restricted. These vehicles can proceed towards their destination via Sector-59 Trijunction (formerly Mamura Chowk).

  2. From Value Bazaar, Sector-62 Trijunction towards Sector-62 Chowki: If necessary, vehicles coming from Value Bazaar, Sector-62 Trijunction towards Sector-62 Chowki will be restricted. These vehicles can proceed towards their destination via Sector-59 Trijunction (formerly Mamura Chowk).

  3. From C-DAC C-32 Company towards PMO: If necessary, vehicles coming from C-DAC C-32 Company towards the PMO will be restricted. These vehicles can proceed via Sector-62 Police Chowki.

  4. From PMO towards C-DAC C-32 Company: If necessary, vehicles heading from PMO towards C-DAC C-32 Company will be restricted. These vehicles can proceed via Sector-62 Police Chowki.

Vehicles heading towards the stadium and Ramleela grounds will be parked in designated empty spaces near Mandi Mall and Metro Hospital.

Additionally, parking arrangements have been made near various Ramleela venues, with the advisory asking citizens to utilise public transport wherever possible to avoid inconvenience. Police personnel will be stationed to manage traffic at critical junctions, and emergency contact numbers have been provided for assistance during any difficulties.

Noida Traffic Arrangements for Durga Idol Immersions on Vijayadashami

In addition to Dussehra, the advisory also addresses traffic arrangements for idol immersions for Vijayadashami. From 9:00 AM on October 12, several key routes will be affected as part of the preparations for special processions, Durga idol visarjans, and events at popular venues.

  • Vehicles going towards Delhi from Noida-Greater Noida Expressway via Kalindi Border will be diverted from Charkha Roundabout towards Dalit Prerna Sthal. These vehicles will be able to go towards their destination via DND/Chilla.

  • Traffic going towards Kalindi Border from Sector 37 will be diverted from Mahamaya Flyover towards Dalit Prerna Sthal. This traffic will be able to go towards its destination via DND/Chilla.

  • Traffic going from Surajpur towards Kuleshra will be diverted from Kachchi Sadak Tiraha towards Chauganpur Roundabout. This traffic will be able to go towards its destination via Bisrakh Roundabout.

  • Traffic going towards Hindon River from Phase-2 will be diverted from Phase-2 towards Kakrala. This traffic will be able to go towards its destination via Sorkha, Bisrakh.

  • The traffic going from Kisan Chowk towards Parthala will be diverted from Kisan Chowk towards Bisrakh. This traffic will be able to go towards its destination via Bisrakh to Sorkha to Parthala.

  • The traffic going from Parthala towards Kisan Chowk will be diverted from Parthala roundabout towards Sorkha. This traffic will be able to go towards its destination via Sorkha Bisrakh.

Additionally, parking provisions have been made in select areas to ensure vehicles can be parked safely while citizens participate in the Navratri celebrations. For any emergencies, Noida Police have set up a 24-hour helpline (9971009001) for public assistance.

The Noida Police has urged the public to strictly follow the traffic guidelines to avoid any inconvenience during these days. The advisory also notes that local markets in affected areas will remain closed to reduce congestion on key routes. Police personnel will be deployed at critical junctions to facilitate smooth traffic flow and ensure public safety.
