After murdering her husband, Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla purportedly celebrated Holi in Manali. Videos of the same surfaced on social media.

Just days after murdering her husband, chopping up his body, and sealing it in a cement-lined drum, Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla were allegedly seen celebrating Holi in Manali, smiling and posing for a video as if nothing had happened. A video shows Muskaan and Sahil with their faces covered in colour, swaying lightly while Sahil, appearing intoxicated, makes cheerful gestures.

Another surfaced video from their trip to Himachal Pradesh shows Muskaan feeding Sahil a piece of cake, wishing him “happy birthday” and kissing him.

Photos from the trip also capture Muskaan walking in the snow.

Meerut Murder: Videos Show Muskaan, Lover Sahil Celebrating Holi, Birthday After Killing Her Husband Saurabh

Muskaan and Sahil have been arrested for the brutal murder of her husband, former Merchant Navy officer Saurabh Rajput, in Meerut on March 3. Police said the duo drugged Saurabh before stabbing him to death, dismembering his body into 15 pieces, and sealing it inside a cemented drum to conceal the crime. They later embarked on a vacation to Shimla and Manali while misleading Saurabh’s family by sending messages from his phone. The crime came to light on March 18, leading to their arrest.

'Killed My Son By Performing Tantric Rituals': Saurabh’s Mother Alleges Occult Practices

Saurabh’s mother, Renu Devi, claimed that both Muskaan and Sahil were involved in occult practices. “They killed my son by performing tantric rituals,” she alleged, as quoted by news agency PTI.

Muskaan’s parents, Kavita and Pramod Rastogi, also claimed that Sahil manipulated their daughter using occult beliefs and isolated her from her six-year-old daughter.

Neighbours described Sahil’s fascination with mysticism, often dressing in yellow and black kurtas with “Mahakal” inscriptions and sporting tattoos of religious symbols. His room, according to them, was filled with eerie sketches. “He rarely went out except to feed cats, and his room remained dark most of the time,” a neighbour said, as per PTI.

Muskaan’s police statements suggest Sahil manipulated her into committing the crime. According to PTI, a police source revealed, “Muskaan stated that Sahil told her, ‘You will have to kill Saurabh; only then can we start a new life.’”

According to the PTI source, Sahil instructed Muskaan to sit on Saurabh’s chest before bringing a knife from the kitchen. When she hesitated, Sahil held her hand and made her stab an unconscious Saurabh in the heart thrice.

Superintendent of Police (City) Ayush Vikaram Singh stated, “All aspects of the case are being looked into.”
