1 Dead, Several Injured As Fire Breaks Out At Residential Building In Mumbai
Tragic fire in an 11-floor building in Mumbai has killed a 42-year-old woman and left three others battling suffocation.

In a tragic incident, a 42-year-old woman was killed and three other persons suffered from suffocation after a fire broke out in an 11-floor building in Mumbai on Sunday morning, a fire official said.
As per the details, the fire erupted at 6.11 am at Panna Ali Mansion building, located in Masjid Bandar area in south Mumbai.
The official said that the blaze was confined to the electric wiring and installations at a common meter box place and electric wiring in the common passage on the ground floor of the building, as reported by news agency PTI.
While, Sabila Khatun Shaikh, the victim, died following the incident, a man on the building's sixth floor and a woman on the eighth floor also suffered from suffocation.
However, Karim Shaikh (20), Sajiya Alam Shaikh (30) and Shahin Shaikh (22) were rushed to the government-run J J Hospital. As per the information, their condition was reported to be stable.
On February 11, a massive fire broke out in a furniture godown in Oshiwara, Andheri area of Mumbai. Eight fire brigade vehicles reached the spot to douse the blaze. An official said there was no report of casualty in the blaze that erupted around 11.30 am in the market on Swami Vivekanand Marg. He said more than 20 fire engines, water tankers and other equipment have been pressed into service to contain the fire that has been categorised as Level 2 (major). The official said the blaze began at a furniture godown and spread to the adjacent shops on the ground floor of the market.
On January 25 also, a fire erupted at a furniture shop in Mumbai's Dindoshi in the morning. The blaze reportedly started in a furniture warehouse in the Khadakpada locality, located between Malad and Dindoshi. The flames, which initially began in one warehouse, quickly spread to surrounding areas, escalating into a major blaze.
