Another Fire Breaks Out At Maha Kumbh Mela Ahead Of Amrit Snan, 2 Tents Gutted
A fire at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj destroyed two tents due to an LPG cylinder leak.

Another fire broke out at Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj ahead of Amrit Snan on Sunday. Two tents of Kalpvasi camp were gutted in the fire which started due to a leakage in an LPG cylinder.
The incident took place in Ramakrishna Ashram Camp in Dandi Swami Nagar, Sector 18 when the gas leaked while making tea.
Everything inside the two tents including Rs 80,000 cash were completely burnt in the fire. One person sustained minor injuries.
As the fire broke out, people from the adjacent camps showed speed and brought the fire under control by placing a bucket on the burning cylinder. However, by the time the fire was controlled, everything was charred.
At least nine people were residing in both the tents who were evacuated safely from the tents. 10 vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot to douse the fire and four ambulances were present on standby.

On Thursday a fire had broken out near the Sangam Ghat at Maha Kumbh in the Nageshwar Pandal of Sector-22 in the Jhunsi area. No casualties were reported due to the fire and the devotees were safely evacuated.
The fire started at around 1:45 pm at Nageshwar Pandal area and fire brigades were immediately rushed to the spot. The flames erupting from the fire were reportedly visible from a distance and caused damage worth lakhs of rupees as several tents were burnt.
The incident came a day after an ambulance, deployed outside a hospital set up at the Maha Kumbh Mela site, caught fire during the chaos of the stampede that killed 30 people.
Visuals of the incident showed people using fire extinguishers to control the flames.
According to officials, the stampede took place after a large crowd broke through a barrier during the early hours of January 29.
