The 22-year-old Mansi and 26-year-old Jaya are both married to Rambabu Verma. The incident occurred on Diwali, October 31, when a disagreement between Mansi and Jaya escalated into violence, according to the police.
In a fit of anger, Mansi stabbed Jaya more than 50 times. Soon, Jaya was rushed to a hospital where her condition was reported to be critical. After the information, the police arrived at the scene and detained Mansi, charging her under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to a report by India Today, police confirmed that Jaya was married to Rambabu Verma in 2019. But, due to health issues, Verma married Mansi in 2021.

Juveniles Stab 35-Year-Old Man 50 Times In Delhi's Jafrabad
In a separate incident, a 35-year-old man was stabbed allegedly by four juveniles in Northeast Delhi's Jafrabad area on May 6. The attack took place on Sunday at 6:45 pm, according to police reports. All four assailants have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, police reported. Nazir had been stabbed about 50 times, they added. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Joy Tirkey stated that a team from the Jafrabad police station detained four juveniles related to the incident on Monday, PTI reported.
Further information has surfaced about Nazir's background, revealing his involvement in multiple cases of robbery and attempted murder. DCP Tirkey said the suspects confessed to targeting Nazir because he had threatened one of them just two days prior to the fatal attack. This detail provides insight into the potential motives behind the tragedy, according to PTI.
An additional officer stated that the juveniles’ questioning is ongoing, as police suspect they may have been directed by another individual to commit the murder. This suspicion is tied to Nazir’s role as a witness in his brother’s murder case, adding complexity to the investigation.
