34-Year-Old From UP Found Hanging In Bengaluru

Earlier, on Monday, a 34-year-old automobile executive, Subhash Atul, was discovered hanging in his apartment in Munnekolalu, Marathahalli in Bengaluru. The Uttar Pradesh native, holding a director-level position in his company, left behind a 24-page note detailing the domestic challenges he faced, including eight police complaints filed against him by his wife and others.

According to the Times of India, the matter came to light after Atul emailed an NGO late on Sunday night. The organisation, which advocates for men dealing with domestic violence and related issues, received a message from Atul indicating his intent to take his own life. Acting swiftly, NGO staff alerted the police control room, sharing the email's contents. Police rushed to the scene, forced entry into his apartment, and discovered his lifeless body.

An A4 sheet was affixed to Atul's chest, which read "Justice is Due". Further inspection of the apartment revealed a detailed timetable and a concise note attached to a cupboard.

Written in both English and Hindi, these documents outlined Atul’s preparations in the days leading to his death, as well as instructions for posthumous actions, the TOI report stated. The timetable listed tasks such as chanting prayers, organising personal belongings, and sending critical emails to various recipients, including legal authorities and his workplace.

The incident has prompted discussions about domestic issues and their impact on mental health, with authorities continuing their investigation.
