Bengaluru Logs Hottest Day Of 2025 On Holi, Temperature To Increase Next Week
Bengaluru recorded its hottest day of the year on March 14, with temperatures reaching 35.4 degrees Celsius. The high temperatures are expected to continue for the next few days.

Bengaluru, which is regarded as the IT capital of India, on March 14 registered the hottest day of the year so far, as the city's temperature crossed 35 degrees Celsius for the first time this summer.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), Karnataka's capital recorded 35.4 degrees Celsius on Friday, and the temperature is expected to rise over the next three to four days.
"So far, the maximum temperature recorded was about 34°C, but now it has crossed 35°C, and Friday is the hottest day of the year. The temperature will be above the 35°C for the next three to four days,” C.S. Patil, scientist and director, IMD Bengaluru told The Hindu.
Patil explained that the prevailing hot and humid conditions were due to dry air and the absence of cloud cover. The weather forecast indicates that cloud formation is unlikely in the coming days, and similar conditions are expected to continue.
The IMD has forecast a minimum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius and maxmimum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius for March 15. The sky will be partly cloudy.

Bengaluru Weather For Upcoming Days
For March 16, the weather bureau said that the minimum and maximum temperature of the city would be 19 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius respectively.
From March 17 till March 20, the minimum and the maximum temperature is expected to be 19 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius respectively, with partly cloudy sky for all the days, except for March 20. On Thursday, the sky is expected to remain mainly clear.
Delhi Recorded Hottest Day This Year On Holi
Despite the light rain in Delhi-NCR on Holi, Friday was the hottest day of the year in the national capital region. The maximum temperature recorded was 36.2 degrees Celsius, which is 7.3 degrees above normal.
