We Do What We Say: Shivraj Singh Chouhan
Chouhan announced on Saturday that the BJP had started the process of selecting candidates for the upcoming assembly polls. He expressed confidence in the party's preparations, and criticised the ruling alliance, which comprises the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal.
"We have begun our proceedings to elect candidates for the first phase. We have taken the advice of our party members. In the first week of October, we will hold an election committee meeting and then we will make decisions," Chouhan said, news agency ANI reported.
"Preparations are in full swing. The excitement among the people for Amit Shah's rally (on Friday) was amazing. People are tired of the dishonest and corrupt government of the alliance and ready for change," he added.
Regarding the BJP's manifesto for Jharkhand, Chouhan emphasised that it will focus on women's empowerment, youth employment, and the welfare of farmers and the poor.
"We do what we say. We are presenting 100 days of work before the people. We will focus on the financial empowerment of our sisters, will focus on youth's employment, and ensure farmers and poor people's welfare," Chouhan said.
