Bashir Ahmad Veeri Wins Bijbehara Assembly Elections

The 57-year-old National Conference leader is a medical doctor and social worker by profession. He recently secured a major win in the Bijbehara assembly elections, defeating BJP’s Sufi Yusif and Iltija Mufti from the PDP, the daughter of former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, by a huge margin.

The National Conference won assembly elections 2024 with flying colours in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, securing 42 seats out of the 90, resulting in formation of government.
