Hyderabad Techie Gangraped By Childhood Friend, His Cousin At A Party To Celebrate Her New Job

The woman was in an inebriated state, when her childhood friend took her to a room at the restaurant-cum-bar, where he raped her.

A 24-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by her childhood friend and his cousin in Hyderabad on Monday.

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old software engineer was allegedly raped by two men, including her childhood friend and his cousin on Monday night. The woman had landed a new job recently and her childhood friend, Gautham Reddy, proposed to celeberate her achievement with her. Both of them went to a restaurant-cum-bar in Vanasthalipuram to celebrate, the victim told police in her complaint.

She also said that her childhood friend had also been her classmate in school from class 2 to class 10, news agency PTI reported.

According to her complaint, the woman and her friend had consumed alcohol at the restaurant-cum-bar, following which the man took her to a room at the restaurant's premises, where he raped her while she was in an inebriated state.

Subsequently, his cousin also showed up at the spot and raped the woman. The complaint further said that the two men then left the place, and the woman called up her brother to tell him what they had done.

As per PTI's report, the police has registered a case on the basis of the woman's complaint. She was even taken to a hospital for medical examination.

Efforts are underway to nab the accused duo, who is absconding. Further investigation into the matter is on, police stated.

Woman Raped By Driver In Moving Bus In Telangana

In another separate case, a married woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by the driver of a bus she was travelling in. She was travelling from Nirmal to Prakasam district in a private sleeper bus when the incident took place in the early hours of Tuesday.

In her complaint, she told the police that she was sexually assaulted by one of the drivers of the bus, who stuffed her mouth with blanket. She told the police thatshe was raped on the moving bus even though there were other passengers in the bus, PTI reported.

On finding out that the woman had informed the police, the driver, Krishna, got down the bus when it slowed down near Mettugada area and ran away.

Police, however, managed to intercept the bus as it was entering Hyderabad city. and arrested the other bus driver, Seshaiah, was is now in custody.

He is being questioned by the police and a case has been registered at the Osmania University police station.
